Rinnai Continuous Flow Hot Water Heater Fault or Error Code 65 Troubleshooting Guide
If you have a Rinnai Infinity continuous flow hot water heater installed in your property that has a water temperature controller connected, which supports the bath fill function, then you may experience a Rinnai error code 65.
The Rinnai fault code 65 indicates that there is a water flow control fault – meaning that the water flow is not being stopped correctly for some reason.
The Rinnai fault codes are an excellent feature of the Infinity continuous flow hot water heaters. They allow for a prompt repair, due to easily being able to see what the problem is by simply looking at the code flashing on the monitor.
You can attempt to clear any Rinnai error code yourself by turning your hot water tap off and on again, and by pushing the on/off button on your monitor off then on. If the fault code remains then further action will be required to rectify the issue.
Rinnai error code 65 troubleshooting
A Rinnai error code 65 will require a service call. This is due to the nature of the repair requiring the front panel of the continuous flow hot water heater to be removed. Removing the front panel of the system yourself (if you are unqualified) can be extremely dangerous due to the high voltage wiring of the system.
