This afternoon we received a phone call from a customer who was in a massive panic. When she had a shower late that morning, she noticed the water was had a reddish colour to it. As she had a few relatives that will be coming over to stay for the upcoming long weekend she wanted this seen to promptly. She was not expecting this to happen now with family due the next day, she needed her hot water system to be fully functional.

The call centre staff we able to obtain from the customer a time that she would be home. At the time of the call we were unsure the name of the plumber we would be sending but were able to provide a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to arrival, one of the many services we at Jim’s Plumbing, are able to provide. As we had a plumber only a few suburbs away we were able to have one of our Jim’s plumbers to the home within only an hour of the call taking place.

As the plumber arrived the customer noticed how well the plumber was dressed in his uniform and was impressed straight away by how much knowledge he had about her Thermann water system. As the plumber continued to inspect the unit he found the storage tank was starting to rust from the inside out. As it is not a rare problem, we often hear of no early warning signs of tank failure leading the tank just suddenly bursting with a violent bang. Luckily the customer noticed the rust early so that the tank could be replaced without risk to the plumber or the house.

Once the plumber told the customer what needed to be done to the storage unit, the customer was shocked by this as the tank had recently come out of warranty and was hoping not to have the tank replaced so soon. The customer was very pleased that the plumber could have the hot water unit up and running again, ready for her arriving guests.

The next day the customer received a quick phone call from our customer service team, to check in with the customer to make sure they were happy with the service received from start to finish. The customer was happy that she had a lot of flexibly for payment. Had she not been to the bank the day before she would have paid with a credit card but decided to pay via cash this time.
