Thermann 50L Electric Storage Hot Water Service

A new customer contacted the offices at Jims Plumbing as she advised that her new Thermann 50L Electric Storage hot water system had suddenly stopped working and she needed a plumber straight away. Our understanding bookings team were able to get in contact with one of the local Jim’s Plumbers and arranged for him to be dispatched to the location straight away to see how he could help.

The plumbers are all equipped with state of the art GPS tracking systems which assist them with travelling to jobs and recording their time on site. The on-board computers also prepare them for an upcoming job as it allows for the bookings team to send critical job information so that they arrive prepared.

Once the plumber had arrived on site he was able to check that there was firstly power being supplied to the unit via the meter box. The plumber found that the unit had power coming into the hot water service, however, he found that no power from the bottom of the thermostat was connecting to the element – this fault meant that the customer had no hot water.

After the technician tested the element – he was able to recommend to the customer that both the element and thermostat be replaced. The plumber explained that the thermostat and element should be replaced together as both these parts work together inside the system – and often one being faulty can cause the other to have issues.

After agreeing to the fixed price of replacing both parts, the plumber was able to pull out the old element and thermostat and visually show and explain why this had happened to the unit. He was able to compare readings off of the old element with his multimeter to show her the resistance in the circuit & compare them with the new element. The plumber ensured that he took away any items that needed to be disposed of, and left the area neat and tidy for the customer.

One the plumber had left site, the customer service team contacted her to follow up and ensure that she was 100% happy with the service. The customer advised that she was very pleasantly surprised with how professional the plumber was and she especially appreciated that he was able to show her exactly what was going on. She felt as though the plumber went above her expectations and advised she would definitely use our services again.
