A new customer contacted the Jim’s Plumbing office in the early morning as she had heard a sound coming from outside and discovered that her Aquamax Gas Storage system had split and was leaking water everywhere in her back garden. She was very concerned about this and let us know that she needed a plumber straight away.

Our understanding customer service team were able to send out one of our experienced plumbers to her within the hour of her phone call* which she was thrilled about, as she had been told by a close friend that it can be difficult to get someone out quickly, and can often take days.

The plumber was dispatched straight away and arrived quicker than the hour as he had just finished doing some work in the area.  He went around the back of the house with the customer and she was able to show him where the gas system was and explain the situation.  The plumber could see straight away that the cylinder had split and could not be repaired.

The customer was very upset as she hadn’t budgeted for a new system and was concerned that she was going to have to go without hot water for a few days while a replacement was organised.  At Jim’s Plumbing, we understand that these inconvenient situations can happen and we were able to make the customer feel at ease as we explained to her that we have an interest free payment plans** for all of our supply & install quotes for new hot water systems.

The plumber discussed with her what her options were for a new system so that he could replace it with a new one that would best suit her and her family’s water usage. The customer was very happy with her current system as it had a 5 star energy rating and she found that her bills were very manageable.

We gave the customer a quote and offered to go ahead and supply and install a new system that day.  She was very thankful for this. However, as the system was reasonably new she was luckily able to get in contact with the manufacturer as it was still under warranty.  We turned the water off at the mains to stop any further water leaks while she organised a replacement with the manufacturer and was happy with how helpful the plumber was.
