This meant it stopped the pilot light from being able to ignite.
The thermocouple is a very important safety device that turns off the gas supply when the pilot light is off. If this part is not working correctly it can result in the pilot light being unable to ignite. Having had come across this problem it was an easy fix for the customer and the plumber, replacing the thermocouple and ensuring to test the unit to determine everything was running perfectly.
This was a relief to our customer, who thought they would have to have this unit replaced, after it only being installed short time ago. This Rheem Stellar gas storage hot water unit has an energy rating of 5 stars – this great energy efficient system will save customers from high gas bills. This Rheem Stellar has a full 10 year warranty on the cylinder and superflue, a 5 year warranty on labour of the cylinder and superflue and a 1 year warranty on all other parts and labour. This unit also includes mains pressure – which means multiple people can have a shower at any given time. It is suitable for a household of 2-6 with a capacity of 160 litres and is available in natural or LPG gas models.
