Old Aquamax 50 Litre System
After hearing rave reviews from colleagues, this customer called Jim’s Plumbing today as they found water pooling around the bottom of their Aquamax 50 litre electric hot water system after a weekend away from home. After explaining this to our 24 hours a day, 7 days a week call centre we were able to attend that day in a time frame that suited our customer.
Upon inspection of the hot water system, we found that the tank itself was leaking from the bottom. This could not be repaired unfortunately, and the only option was to install a new system . After explaining this to our customer they opted to accept the quote our plumber provided as we were able to install then and there.
After speaking more with our customer to determine what system would best suit them, they explained to our expert plumber they were happy with the Aquamax unit and reliability, however, they were interested in a slightly bigger unit.
We quoted for supply and install of a new AquaMAX 160 litre electric hot water system. This unit has a larger capacity and would stop our customer’s from running out of hot water as quickly as they were with their old system. We also offered our customer with an interest free payment plan** for the new unit. In this instance, however, they opted to pay via our mobile EFTPOS machine, and we got to work straight away.
This was a simple change over for both the plumber and customer as the unit and connections were almost identical. The new hot water unit Jim’s Plumbing installed has a 10 year manufacturer warranty on the cylinder, a 1 year warranty on all other parts and labour and has a stainless steel cylinder which also prevents corrosion compared to other electric hot water systems.
These AquaMAX electric systems range from 80 litres up to 315 litres meaning there is a design for every household depending on how many people are in the home and what your hot water needs are. AquaMAX also claims that this hot water system exceeds any other system’s minimum energy performance standard for better energy efficiency.
Once the system was installed, we checked everything was working efficiently. Just like that, our customer had running hot water only 3 hours after our arrival, and better yet – no more leaking system.
