Replace Vulcan Express Gas Continuous Flow to Rinnai Infinity 26
A new customer called Jim’s Plumbing after their previous plumber from a competitor did not turn up two days in a row. They were worried about a hissing noise coming from their hot water system, and was told by a neighbour to call Jim’s Plumbing as they had used us for emergency plumbing jobs in the past.
Our plumber arrived shortly after and found an old Vulcan express gas continuous flow hot water system. After our plumber inspected the unit and quickly did some research we found that this particular unit is no longer stocked by Vulcan, and they no longer supply parts for its repair. So the best choice for our customer was to replace this gas unit. The customer was extremely happy with the longevity of this unit, having it for over 15 years in their home!
We ran through a few different and best options for the customer, this being the Rinnai 26 infinity hot water system – which the customer selected. This hot water system has a fantastic 6.1 star energy rating. Meaning the running costs will be a lot lower than that of their old unit, and the added benefit of low greenhouse gas emissions – ideal for an environmentally friendly family.
This unit is manufactured in Japan, with a compact design which allows for multiple choices on where to install this system. There is also a huge 12 year warranty on the heat exchanger within the unit, and is suitable for a 2-3 bathroom home. And being a brand new and well recognised unit means it will be a lot easier for any maintenance issues in the future. This Rinnai 26 infinity continuous hot water system guarantees you will never run out of hot water again! Compared to a storage unit a continuous flow is not only more compact but also more energy efficient.
When an outlet is turned on within the household a continuous flow hot water system immediately fires up and starts heating the water, then, after the outlet is turned off the system stops producing the hot water. Storage tanks, on the other hand, continuously heat water even when it is not needed.
After the installation was complete our customer also asked us to look at some leaking laundry taps that they noticed a few days before. We were able to replace the washers within the taps quickly, carrying parts to complete 95% of jobs then and there onsite. After all the work was completed, we explained our payment options our customer, offering an interest free payment plan on the quote. The customer however chose to pay with a cheque – being more convenient to them.
