AquaMAX 50 Litre Electric Hot Water System Replacement Service
Our customer service call centre staff at Jim’s Plumbing received a call to a leaking small 50 Litre, AquaMAX Electric Hot Water System. We were able to have our plumber attend within our customer’s desired time frame due to our flexibility with booking times.
When the plumber arrived he noticed that the hot water system was located in the cupboard of our customer’s house, an advantage of having such a small unit is that it can be hidden away out of sight. Although it has the size advantage, the unit also has the disadvantage of the hidden and tight location making repair work to be difficult.
Fortunately on this particular call out, when the hot water system had leaked there was a safe tray beneath the tank, which caught the water and discharged it outside into the drain. Usually, when these trays are not installed it can damage the joinery and has to be replaced. Often these heaters can be slowly leaking over many months and when it is hidden away in a cupboard customers don’t know that there is a water leak often until sometime later.
We have come across jobs before where whole houses and offices have been flooded due to no safe tray being installed, which fortunately was not the case in this scenario.
Upon assessing the hot water system, our plumber had realised that the current unit which was installed was not salvageable. Our plumber was able to write up a quote on the spot, which our customer decided to accept, in which the plumber was able to begin working right away. Due to our vans being fully stocked upon attendance, the particular hot water system in which the customer required was one of the few systems in which we stock in our vans.
The AquaMAX 50 L electric hot water system is quite popular for its 5 year cylinder warranty*, dual inlet valves, dual PTR valve settings and the ability to install internally and externally for customer convenience.
The customer was pleased to find that we were able to come out, assess and replace all in the one day, which saved the customer needing to take more time off of work.
Although we do have the option of an interest free payment plan, our customer opted to pay in one of the many diverse ways we take payment by taking advantage of our built-in EFTPOS machine and paying on site to the plumber on completion of the work.
No Interest Ever!* payment plan options available on hot water heater replacements to help ease any financial stress this burden may cause. If your hot water heater is leaking, or you have no hot water, we can often have a plumber to you within the hour*.
