New Rheem Loline Gas Boosted Solar
After reading numerous fantastic reviews online about a new solar gas boosted hot water system, a new customer gave Jim’s Plumbing a call today on 1300 068 480 and requested a quote for this new system, advising they currently had a continuous flow hot water system installed.
We arranged for our Jim’s plumber to attend in our fully stocked, marked vans, bright and early Saturday morning as that was the only time our customer would not be away at work.
Upon arrival, we found a Rinnai Infinity 26 continuous flow hot water unit. Having installed this unit for previous clients in the past we find this hot water system and Rinnai overall to be a fantastic brand. This particular unit has an energy rating of 6.1 stars, meaning low running costs with highly efficient technology. This unit was still under its warranty and there was nothing wrong with it. The customer was just interested in solar units.
After our plumber inspected the site we gave a quote for the supply and installation of a Rheem Premier Loline 160 litre gas continuous flow boosted solar hot water system, our plumber ran through the process with our customer and advised we could do it the same day if required. The customer was very happy with this and keen to get started as soon as possible.
We had offered our customer an interest free payment plan for the quote however in this instance the customer opted to pay with a credit card as they had saved up for the new system anyway.
Our plumber then got to work, a solar hot water system installation may not be as simple as a quick changeover but there is nothing our plumbers love more than a challenge, and something different!
This new Rheem Loline is a split system design with a modern and compact sized roof mounted collector and a 160 litre ground mounted tank, meaning it can be easily hidden away at the side of your house. There is enhanced frost protection for those cold winter nights and we find is most suitable for a 2-5 people household. With a full 10 year warranty on the gas boost heat exchanger, 5 year warranty on the cylinder and collector, 3 year warranty on labour of the cylinder and heat exchanger, and a 1 year warranty on all other parts and labour.
Our customer was extremely happy with this new system, as our plumber explained that solar can save the customer up to 65%-70% of water heating energy consumption and reduces carbon emissions.
