Chromagen Smartline Gas Boosted Solar Repairs
Jim’s Plumbing received a call today from a new customer who was recommended our services by their regular plumber who was retiring. Despite being extremely happy with their Chromogen Solar hot water unit installed in their property they were experiencing steam and excessively hot water shooting from numerous taps around the house, and occasional boiling noises inside the hot water unit.
Our new customer was worried about the water being too hot with young children in the house and having to constantly monitor their water use. We were able to arrange a plumber for the customer around the school drop off times to attend.
Upon arrival we found this Chromogen Smart line Ground mounted hot water system on the side of the property. After checking the unit and the faucets in the property, we determined the cause of the problem: the temperature-pressure relief valve was faulty.
The job of this valve is to release any excess pressure of steam within the hot water system. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms call us straight away as the water or steam could scald a member of the household.
Luckily, our plumber carried this particular part in his van, so we were able to replace this straight away, and after a couple of routine checks this system was running like new.
This eternity T20 was a gas booster for a solar hot water system which are becoming more and more popular, as people are taking advantage of the Australia sun. Solar can provide up to 90% of your hot water needs, reducing your energy consumption and carbon footprint. You get cheaper bills and an environmentally friendly family! A 6 star energy rating gas booster means you never run out of hot water, even in the cloudy months.
All of Chromogen tanks are built to withstand Australia’s harsh conditions. They come in 200, 300 and 400 litre tank capacities meaning there is a solar hot water system for everyone, with the option of gas or electric boosted. This valve replacement didn’t take long, meaning the kids will be able to use the water safely in the house. It is rare that this valve is faulty in these systems but can be troublesome if it happens.
Shortly after the job was completed the customer got a call from our customer service manager to ensure our customer was satisfied, and if there was anything else we could assist with we will be here to help 24/7.
