Bosch Hot Water Heater Fault or Error Code A7 Troubleshooting Guide
Are you experiencing no hot water, or temperature fluctuations, with your Bosch continuous flow hot water heater? If you opted to install the optional water temperature controller than have a look at the digital monitor.
An error code will display in the event of any fault within the system. One of the Bosch error code displays that you may come across is fault code A7.
What does the Bosch hot water heater error code A7 indicate?
Fault code A7 flashing on the status monitor of your temperature controller indicates a faulty hot water outlet temperature sensor.
Bosch continuous flow hot water systems are fitted with two water temperature sensors – inlet and outlet sensors. These water temperature sensors measure the incoming cold water and outgoing hot water to ensure the correct hot water temperature delivered to you is monitored and maintained.
If there is a fault with the hot water outlet temperature sensor Bosch error code A7 will display. You may also experience temperature fluctuations or cold showers, as the temperature is unable to be measured correctly within the unit.
Can I clear a Bosch fault code A7 on my gas hot water heater?
The Bosch A7 error code will require the services of a fully qualified technician to investigate and rectify the issue with the hot water outlet temperature sensor.
You can attempt to clear the code yourself, if it is merely a trip of the system, by turning the system’s power off, opening a hot water tap fully and then turning the power back on. If the Bosch error code A7 remains then it’s time to call in an expert.
(Be mindful that if you are experiencing other issues – such as no hot water, then it is doubtful that the A7 fault code is showing in error.)
